Pre-shipment inspection of silk goods - discontinuation of the same by Central Silk Board - regarding.

I am directed to refer to Board's Circular No. 28/99-Cus., dated the 24 May, 1999 issued from F. No. 450/31/99-Cus. IV on the subject mentioned above and to say that Ministry of Textiles has decided to dispense with the procedure of pre-shipment inspection of silk goods by the Central Silk Board (CSB) with effect from 1.4.2000.

2. In view of the above, the Board has decided to rescind Circular No. 28/99-Cus., dated the 24th May, 1999, referred to above. You are, requested to kindly note the same and also inform all concerned.

3. Kindly acknowledge receipt of this Circular.
