S.O. (E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 read with
section 3 and sub-sections (1), (1A), (4) and (5) of section 5 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of
1962) (hereinafter referred to as said Act) and in supersession of notification of the
Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 50/2020-
Customs (N.T.), dated the 5th June, 2020, published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary, Part
II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), vide, number G.S.R. 352(E), dated the 5
th June, 2020, except as
respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Board of
Indirect Taxes and Customs hereby, appoints the following officers of customs mentioned in
the column (2) of the Table below, posted at any customs station in India, as proper officers
for the functions as specified in column (3) of the said Table, in relation to a bill of entry
presented electronically under section 46 or section 68 of the said Act, anywhere in India,
where, such bill of entry is assigned to them in the customs automated system, namely :-

2. This notification shall come into force on the date of publication in the Official
