Amendemnt in Ntf No. 16/2000-Cus Dated 1-3-2000 so as to allow vanaspati manufacturing units not having captive hydrogen generation facility, import of crude oil and its fractions under concessional rate of duty upto 28.11.2000.
G.S.R. (E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue),
No. 16/2000-Customs, dated the 1st March, 2000, namely:-
In the said notification, in the Annexure, against Condition No. 4B, under column heading "Conditions", in condition (ii), for the portion "having captive hydrogen facility; and", the following shall be inserted, namely:-
"having captive hydrogen generation facility:
Provided that if the importer does not have a captive hydrogen generation facility in his factory, the benefit of exemption under this notification shall not apply to him on and after the 29th day of November, 2000; and".
