Amendment in Cus Ntf No. 16/2000 Dt. 01/03/2000 - Customs Duty Concession Extended to More Products G.S.R. 700 (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue),
No. 16/2000- Customs, dated the 1st March, 2000, namely:-
In the said notification,-
(i) in the Table,-
(a) after serial No. 138 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely:-

(d) for serial No. 264 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

(f) against serial No. 267, in column (3), item (iii) shall be omitted;
(g) after serial No. 269 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely:-

(i) in serial No. 301, against item (B) in column (3), in column (4), for the entry "15%", the entry "5%" shall be substituted;

(k) against serial No. 303, in column (4), for the entry "25%", the entry "15%" shall be substituted;
(l) after serial No. 303 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely:-

(ii) in List 16, after item (3), the following items shall be added, namely:-
"(4) Ethernet Switch/ card
(5) Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM) equipment.".
2. This notification shall come into force on and from the 1st day of September, 2000
