Customs so as to reduce the basic customs duty on crude oil to 10% and that on refined petroleum products such as HSD, Motor Spirit etcG.S.R. (E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue),
No.16/2000-Customs dated the 1st March, 2000, namely:-
In the said notification, in the Table, -
(a) after S.No.56 and the entries relating thereto , the following S. Nos. and entries shall be inserted , namely:-

56B. | 27.12,27.13 or 27.15 | All goods | 20% | - | -" |
(b) in S. No. 58, in column (4), for the figures "25%", the figures "20%" shall be substituted.
2. This notification shall come into force on the 30th day of September, 2000.
