Effective rate of customs duty - Notification No. 53/96-Cus. and 20/99-Cus., rescinded
G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby rescinds following notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), namely:-

(1) notification No.53/96-Customs, dated the 23 rd July, 1996, published in the Official Gazette vide number G.S.R.331(E), dated the 23rd July, 1996; and

(2) notification No.20/99-Customs, dated the 28 th February, 1999, published in the Official Gazette vide number G.S.R.156(E), dated the 28th February, 1999.
