CUS NTF NO. 35/2000 DATE 05/04/2000

To reduce the effective rates of basic Customs duty on almonds in shell from Rs. 55 per kg to Rs. 35 kg, grape fruit from 35% to 25% and prunes from 35% to 25%.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 17/2000-Customs, dated the 1st March, 2000. namely:-

In the said notification, in the Table, -

(a) after S. No. 2 and the entries relating thereto the following shall be inserted, namely:-

(1)(2) (3)(4)
"2A. 0802.11 All goods Rs. 35/- per kg.
2B. 0805.40 All goods 25%"

(b) after S. No. 3 and the entries relating thereto the following shall be inserted, namely:-

(1)(2) (3)(4)
"3A. 0813.20 All goods25%"
