Amendments in the Cus Ntf No.21/2002 dt.1/03/2002 (Umbrella Cloth, Parts & Trimmings - 5% Cus Duty Rough Diamonds - No Customs Duty)
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 21/2002-Customs, dated the 1st March, 2002, namely:-

In the said notification, in the Table,-

(1) after S. No. 173 and the entries relating thereto, the following S. No. and entries shall be inserted, namely :-

173A.	6307.90	Umbrella cloth panels for use in the manufacture of umbrellas	15%	-	5


(2) after S. No. 174 and the entries relating thereto, the following S. No. and entries shall be inserted, namely :-

174A.	66.03	Parts, trimmings and accessories for use in the manufacture of umbrellas	5%	-	5


(3) against S.No.180, in the entry in column (3), item no. (iii) shall be omitted;

(4) after S.No.180 and the entries relating thereto, the following S. No. and entries shall be inserted, namely :-

180A.	71	Rough diamonds (industrial or non-industrial)	Nil	Nil	-


(5) against S.No.189, for the entry in column (4), the entry " Rs.550/- per 10 grams" shall be substituted .
