Amendment in the CUS NTF. NO. 39/1996, DT. 23/07/1996 (Goods for Samyukta Programme of the Ministry of Defence-Validity Extended)
G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 39/96-Customs, dated the 23rd July, 1996, namely:-

In the said notification, in the Table, against S. No. 17, in column (3), for the words and figures “the 1st day of April, 2004” the words and figures “the 1st day of December, 2005” shall be substituted.
