Amendments in the notification regarding South Asian Free Trade Area (SAFTA) Customs duty exemption on specified products from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Maldieves under SAFTA Agreement

G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No.107/2008-Customs, dated the 6th October, 2008, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-Section (i), vide number G.S.R. 718 (E), dated the 6th October, 2008, namely:-

In the said notification, in the Table, in column (4),-

(i) for the entry “50%”, wherever it occurs, the entry “75%” shall be substituted;

(ii) for the entry “75%”, wherever it occurs, the entry “100%” shall be substituted.
