G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 25/2005-Customs, dated the 1st March, 2005, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide number G.S.R. 123 (E), dated the 1st March, 2005, namely:-

In the said notification, in the Table annexed thereto,

(i) against serial number 13, for the entry in column (3), the following entry shall be substituted, namely:-

“Digital still image video cameras.

Explanation. - For the purposes of this entry, “digital still image video camera” means a digital camera not capable of recording video with minimum resolution of 800 x 600 pixels, at minimum 23 frames per second, for at least 30 minutes in a single sequence using the maximum storage (including expanded) capacity”;

(ii) against serial number 33, for the entry in column (3), the entry “All goods, except poly-laminated aluminium tape and poly-laminated steel tape, for the manufacture of goods specified against serial number 1 to 32, provided that the importer follows the procedure set out in the Customs (Import of Goods at Concessional Rate of Duty for Manufacture of Excisable Goods) Rules, 1996.” shall be substituted.
