Cupro nickel coin blanks import for Govt. Mint NOIDA Permitted
Exemption and effective rate of basic and additional duty for specified goods of Chapters 1 to 99 - amendment to Notification No. 11/97- Cus.[Amend at page 399 of Customs Tariff of India 1997-98]

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 11 / 97 -Customs, dated the 1st March, 1997. namely:-

In the said notification, -

(a) in the Table, after S. No. 115 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"115A.	Any	Cupro nickel coin blanks imported by India Government Mint, NOIDA	Nil	Nil	18A";

(b) in the Annexure after Condition No, 18, the following condition shall be inserted, namely:-

Condition No.	Condition
"18A	If the importer furnishes an undertaking to the Assistant Commissioner of Customs that the cupro nickel coin blanks shall be used only for the purpose of coining of coins at the India Government Mint, NOIDA.".
