Edible Oil etc. - Duty Free Import extended
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 11/97-Customs, date the 1st March 1997, namely :-

In the Table the said notification, for serial number 8 and the entries relation thereto, the following shall be substituted named :

(1)	(2)	(3)	(4)	(5)	(6)
"8.	15	Edible oils or any material which from edible oil can be extracted when imported upto and inclusive of the 31st day of March, 1998	Nil	Nil	3"
