Import against Value Based Advance Licence - Amendment to Notification Nos. 79/95-Cus., 80/95-Cus. and 31/97-Cus.
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed in the manner specified in column (3) of the said Table.

1.	79/95-Customs dated 31.3.1995	In each of the notifications, (a) for condition (iv), the following condition shall be substituted namely,- "that the imports and exports areundertaken through the sea ports at Mumbai, Calcutta, Cochin, Magdalla, Kakinada, Kandla, Mangalore, Marmagoa, Madras,Nhava Sheva, Paradeep, Pipavav, Sikka, Tuticorin and Visakhapatnam or through any of the airports at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Mumbai, Calcutta, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Madras, Srinagar, Trivandrum and Varanasi or through any of the Inland Container Depots at Agra, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Delhi, Faridabad, Gauhati, Gunture, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jalandar, Kanpur, Ludhiana, Moradabad, Nagpur, Pimpri (Pune), Pitampur (Indore), Surat, Tirupur and Varanasi:"; (In above para the word "Hazira" has been replaced by "Magdalla" vide DrawBack Public Notice No. 6/99 Dt.25-8-99) (b) in the proviso to condition (vi), for the words "Ephedrine and Pseudoephedrine", the words "Ephedrine, Pseudoephedrine, Vitamins, Pen-G and their derivaties" shall be substituted.
