CUSTOMS NOTIFICATION NO.100/1999 Dated 28th July. 1999

To chang the benchmark of thermal power project of 1500 MW to 1000 MW and thus extends duty free concession to equipment for 7 more thermal power project.
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No.20/99-Custorns, dated the 28th February, 1999, namely-

In the said notification,-

(i) In the Table, against srial number 288A, in column(3), for the figures and letters "1500 MW", the figures and letters "1000 MW" shall be substituted.

(ii) in List 33 appended thereto, under the heading "Thermal Projects", after item Number 7 and the entry relating thereto, the following item numbers and entreis shall be inserted, namely :-

8. Maithon - 1000 MW
9. Anta - 1300 MW
10. Kawas - 130 MW
11. Auraiya - 1300 MW
12. Gandhar - 1300 MW
13. Cuddalore -, 1000 MW
14. Narmada - 1000 MW.
