CUSTOM NOTIFICATION No.102/1999 dated 4th August, 1999

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisified that it is ncessary in the public iterest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 20/99-Customs, dated the 28th February, 1999, namely:-

In the said notification:-

  1. in the Table, against serial number 182, in column (3), for the words, figures and letters "petroleum exploration licenses issued or nenewed after the 1st of April, 1999 and granted by the Government of India", the words, figures and letters "petroleum expoloration licenses or mining leases, as the case may be, issued or renewed after the 1st of April, 1999 and granted by the Government of India or any State Government" shall be substituted;

  2. in the Annexure, against condition number 34, in column under heading "Conditions"

    1. in clause (a), for the words, figures and letters "petroleum exploration licenses issued or nenewed after the 1st of April, 1999 and granted by the Government of India", the words, figures and letters "petroleum expoloration licenses or mining leases, as the case may be, issued or renewed after the 1st of April, 1999 and granted by the Government of India or any State Government" shall be substituted;

    2. in clause (c),-

      1. in sub-clause(iii), the words, "as the case may be" shall be omitted

      2. in sub-clause (iv)

        1. for the words "petroleum exploration licences", the words "petroleum exploration licenses or mining leases, as the case may be", shall be substituted

        2. for the words "granted on nomination basis", the words "granted by the government of India or any State Government on nomination basis" shall be substituted

  3. for the words "licenses", wherever it occurs, the words "licenses or leases, as the case may be" shall be substituted;

  4. for the word "licensee", wherever it occurs, the words "licensee or lessee, as the case may be" shall be substituted.
