CUSTOMS NOTIFICATION NO.109/1999 Dated 8th September, 1999
WHEREAS the Designated authority in its final findings regarding the review for continuance of
anti-dumping duty on Bisphenol-A originating in or exported from Japan vide notification
No.28/1/98/DGAD, dated the 1lth August, 1999, published in Part 1, Section I of the Gazette of
India Extraordinary, dated the 13th August, 1999, has arrived at the conclusion that:
- Bisphenol-A originating in or exported from Japan has been exported to India below its
normal value
- The Domestic industry has not suffered any material injury from imports of Bisphenol-A from
Japan during the period of investigation,
- No injury has been caused to domestic industry by exports of Bisphenol-A originating in or
from Japan.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (l) of section 9A of the
Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) read with sub-section (5) of the said Customs Tariff Act
and rule 23 of the Customs Tariff (Identification, Assessment and Collection of Anti-dumping
Duty on Dumped Articles and for Determination of Injury) Rules, 1995, the Central Government
hereby rescinds the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance
(Department of Revenue), No.63/98 Customs, dated the 14th August, 1998, published in the
Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide G.S.R.496 (E) dated
the 14th August, 1998.
