G. S. R. (E).- In exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry, of Finance (Department of Revenue). No. 23/98-Customs, dated the 2nd June, 1998, namely :-

In the said notification, in the Table, against S. No. 91, in column (3), for the words, figures and letters "weighing upto 51 g/m2", the words, figures and letters "weighing upto 70 g/m2" shall be substituted.
