In exercise of the powers conferred by sub section (1) of Section 25 of the customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962). the Central Government being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 148/95-Customs, dated September 1995 namely:-

In the said Notification, in condition (iv) for the begining with the words "that the imports and exports" and ending with the brackets and word "(Indore)" the following should be substituted, namely;

"that the imports and exports are undertaken through sea at Bombay. Calcutta , Cochin, Kakinada, Kandia, Mangalore, Marmagao, Madras, Nhava Sheva, Paradeep, Tuticorin and Visakhapathnam or through any of the airports at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bombay, Calcutta, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Madras, Srinagar, Trivandrum and varanasi or through any of the inland Container Depots at Agra, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Delhi, Faridabad, Gauhati Guntur, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jalandhar, Kanpur, Ludhiana, Nagpur, Pimpri(Pune), Pitampur (Indore), Tirupur and Varanasi."
