Sub.:- Introduction of Permanent Account Number(PAN) as the Common Identifier in Customs Operations.

Attention of the Trade including all Importers, Exporters and Custom House Agents is invited to Public Notice No. 73/2000 dated 06-07-2000 wherein it was prescribed that Permanent Account Number (PAN) will be introduced as Common Business Identifier in Customs Operations with effect from 1st August, 2000.

It is brought to the notice of all concerned that the implementation of the Public Notice is deferred till further notice.
