Procedure for assessment of Bills of Entry under the EDI System - reg.
Attention of the trade including Importers and Custom House Agents is invited to Public Notice No. 85/99 wherein procedure for assessment of Bills of Entry under the EDI System was notified.

This is to further inform that all Bills of Entry where number of digits before decimal point, in the value of any single invoice item or in the total invoice value, is more than eight, such Bills of Entry will be assessed manually-till further notice.

This is on account of a limitation in the ICES(import) software.
