PUBLIC NOTICE NO.117/2002

Sub – Administrative Control of 100% Export Oriented Units (EOU) – reg.
Attention of the trade, more specifically of the 100% EOUs , CHAs and others concerned, is invited to Board`s Circulars No.72/2000 Cus. issued vide F.No.305/75/2000 FTT dated 31/08/2000 on the above subject.

It has been decided that henceforth the work of EOUs located within the Municipal corporation limit of Mumbai/Navi Mumbai shall be handled by the jurisdictional Commissioner of Customs sea port, and work of EOU`s outside the Municipal limits of the port/towns shall be handled by the jurisdictional Commissioner of Central Excise.

The above instructions have been issued by the Board in supersession of earlier instructions.

This comes into force with immediate effect.
