PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 08/2002 Date : 28.01.2002

Sub: Basic Customs duty on cotton not carded or combed falling under heading 52.01- reg.
Attention of the trade, Importers, CHA’s and other concerned is invited to Board’s Notification No. 2/2002-Customs-(NT) dated 08.01.2002 effective from 09.01.2002 according to which effective rate of Basic Customs duty on cotton, not carded or combed falling under heading 52.01 of the first schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 has been raised from 5% AD valorem to 10% AD valorem.

A copy of the Notification No. 2/2001-Customs- (NT) dated 08.01.2002 is given on the reverse.
