Sub: ICES-Exports-Capture of information regarding Present Market Value (PMV) of
the export goods – reg.
Attention of all Exporters/Custom House Agents and other members of the Trade are invited to the existing procedure of filing export documents under the Indian Customs EDI System – Exports.
In respect of exports under the DEPB scheme and exports under claim for drawback the exporters are required to declare the Present Market Value of the export goods. Presently, this information is declared by the exporters in separate declaration, which are annexures to the format for data entry at the Service Centre. The Present Market Value is however, not being captured on the System. Keeping in view the suggestions received from DGFT and the Trade, the ICES-Export software has been amended to provide for data entry of the Present Market Value of the goods at the item level. A column for declaration of the Present Market Value of the export goods has been inserted at Sr.No.20 (relating to declaration of item-wise description, unit price, etc.) in the Annexure A/Annexure B of the Public Notice No.42/99 dated 22.3.99, the format for data entry at the Service Centre. The relevant extract of item no.20 is herewith enclosed for ready reference.
The ICES-Export software has been amended accordingly and this facility would be available effective from 11.2.2002. Any difficulty in declaring PMV, may be brought to the notice of Addl. Commissioner of Customs of E.P. Commissionerate. The System Manager /JC(EDI) may be informed of any system related difficulties that may be faced in its implementation.
