Automation of Customs operations relating to IGM admissions - reg.
1. Attention of Importer/ CHA’s/ Shipping Agent/ Steamer Agents/ Shipping Lines and all concerned is invited to Public Notice No. 64/ 2002 dated 30.5.2002 regarding automation of Customs operations relating to IGM admissions.

2. The Para 3.2 of the said Public Notice lays down the procedure for submission of supplementary information and requests for deletion of certain information and or substitution/ amendment of information given earlier, after arrival of vessel to convert the prior IGM to final IGM, in the Service Centre.

3. In order to facilitate the trade, provision have been made in the ICES – Import module for filing of these amendments/ substitutions and addition in the IGM, through floppy format. The details of floppy format are available in Publi Notice 65/2002 dated 30.5.2002. The procedure for getting these amendments / substitution and addition approved by the Dy. Commissioner of Customs (Import Department) will continue as existing in Para 3.2 of the Public Notice No. 64/2002 dated 30.5.2002. The trade is therefore notified that all amendments / substitutions and addition of more than 10 line should be carried out through the floppy format only.
