PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 88/2000, Dt. 23.08.2000

Attested copy of LUT to clearance of cargo-reg.

It is hereby notified for the information of all C.H.A.’s Importers and all concerned that in persuance of letter no. 13/12/2000 EOU dated 14.07.2000 received from Ministry of Commerce, henceforth no further attestation by Development Commissioner would be required at the time of actual import of the Capital goods listed in the Annexure ‘A’ and the concerned EOU may produce the attested copy of LUT to the customs for the purpose of clearance of the cargo.

In the event that an EOU is required to import Capital goods which are not listed in Annexture ‘A’ to the LUT only then should the EOU approach the Development Commissioner for attestation to be done on such individual baisi as may arise from time to tiem.

The aforesaid will apply to new as well as old capital goods which EOUs are entitled for import under the EXIM policy.
