Sub: Declaration of nature of yarn under DFRC Scheme - reg.

Attention of all Importers / Exporters / CHAs and all others concerned is invited to DGFT Public Notice No. 4/2002-07 dated 01.04.2002, whereby exporters are required to give declaration with regard to technical characteristics and specifications in the Shipping Bill under DFRC Scheme in respect of relevant fabrics under product group "Textile".

2. However, it is noticed that exporters are not declaring the nature of the yarn i.e. texturised or non-texturised, which is the constituent of the export product.

3. The exporters / CHAs exporting the goods under DFRC Scheme wherein input is declared to be polyester fabric, must declare the nature of the yarn i.e. texturised or non-texturised, of which the fabric is made of.

4. Group (7-Export) and Docks have been given instructions to ensure that the exporters declare the nature of the yarn used in the fabric in the Shipping Bill and get the samples drawn and tested by DYCC, NCH, Mumbai to verify the declaration regarding nature of the yarn i.e. texturised in addition to other parameters relevant for the fabric exported under DFRC, as a prerequisite to the assessment and examination of the Shipping Bill.
