Constitution of Permanent Trade Facilitation Committee

The Watchdog Committee currently functioning under the Chairmanship of Commissioner of Customs will henceforth be named and referred to as Permanent Trade Facilitation Committee (TFC). All Importers, Exporters and various Manufacturing / Trading Association are advised to take advantage of this forum (TFC) for a long term solution to the day to day problems associated with the clearance of import and export goods.

The composition of the TFC is to be enlarged to include their representatives on this Committee as a part of the follow up action on the recommendations of the Task Force on Indirect Taxes (Kelkar Committee).

They are, therefore, requested to send their representative to attend the meetings of TFC scheduled to be held on all Wednesdays at 17.00 hours in the Chamber of Commissioner of Customs (E.P.), New Custom House., Mumbai.
