Cancellation of Prior Entry I.G.M. No. 13894 of M.V.Orient Strength Voy-031 filed by M/s. Relay Shipping Agency Ltd.

Prior Entry IGM No. 13894 M.V.ORIENT STRENGTH V/031 13.06.2003 and the same was provisionally accepted vide provisions Section 30(1) of the Customs Act, 1962. However, they have stated vide their letter dated 17/06/2003 that the above vessel will not call Mumbai Port due to Engine problem, and the Steamer Agency cannot submit the final entry of the I.G.M. for the said vessel.

In the circumstance, I have no option but to treat the said I.G.M. filed provisionally only as cancelled.

In the circumstance, all the importers and their Custom House Agent and other concerned are hereby informed that the Bill of Entry noted against this provisionally I.G.M., in view of this cancellation become void. They are requested to return their Bills of Entry to the Import Department and they may claim refund of duty if paid on any such Bills of Entry.

As and when the vessel enters the territorial water the I.G.M. is filed again by the Steamer Agent, the importer and their Custom House Agent may file fresh Bill of Entry against the manifest which will be filed by the Steamer Agent again.
