Software changes for feeding Multiple Custodian / Terminal Operator, in IGM
Attention of importers / CHA’s / Shipping Agents / Steamer Agents / Shipping lines / Custodian and all Others concerned is invited to Public Notice No. 64/2002 dated 30.05.2002 regarding automation of Customs operation relating to IGM submission and to Public Notice No. 65/2002 dated 30.05.2002 regarding the detailed file formats to be used and guidelines for preparation of floppy for submission of IGM.
2. It has been decided to introduce an additional field seeking the details of Custodian/terminal operator(s), in the IGM. Accordingly, the file format, as enumerated in P.N. 65/2002 dtd. 30.05.2002 has been modified as under.
In Appendix ‘A’ to the P.N. 65/2002 dtd. 30.05.2002 the following Sl. No will be added after Sl. No. 28

For the Mumbai port since there exists only one Custodian, the terminal operator code will always be “INBOM1PORT”
3. This new procedure will be effective from 28.07.2003. The Deputy Commissioner of Customs (Import) may be approached by Shipping Lines / Shipping Agent / Custodian for settlement of any problem faced at any stage during import clearance. For any system related problem, the trade can approach the EDI help desk situated on the 2nd floor of Annexe Bldg., New Custom House, Mumbai.
