Attention of all the Exporters, Importers, CHAs and Trade is invited to the common DFRC/DEPB licences issued by the DGFT offices against exports made through this Custom House, as well as through any other port like Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House, Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai or CFS Mulund. As per new software patch of licence verification / registration loaded at this Custom House, the registration of aforesaid DFRC/DEPB licence is not possible in the EDI System because the Shipping Bill particulars of licence are required to be fed in the system.

2. The provision under para 4.32 and 4.40 of the Handbook of Procedures (Vol – 1) 2002 – 07 related with DFRC and DEPB respectively are very clear and accordingly the DGFT has to issue the DFRC/DEPB licences with single port of registration, which will be the port from where the exports have been effected. This matter has also been brought to the knowledge of the Director General of Foreign Trade, New Delhi.

3. In view of the above mentioned facts, it has been decided that w.e.f. 15th July, 2004 no common DFRC/DEPB licence issued by DGFT office against exports made through this Custom House along with exports made through any other port like Jawahar Custom House, Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai CFS Mulund will be accepted at this Custom House for the purpose of Verification / Registration of the licence.
