Attention of all Custom House Agents is invited to provisions of Regulation 11 of CHALR 2004 for Renewal of CHA licences

Attention of all Custom House Agents is invited to provisions of Regulation 11 of CHALR 2004 for Renewal of CHA licences. Accordingly, all Custom House Agents whose CHA licences are expiring on 31.12.2004, are directed to submit their CHA licences for renewal on or before 30.09.2004. It is to be noted that the following documents are to be submitted at the time of renewal.

1. Bank Solvency Certificate to the tune of Rs. 1,00,000/-

2. Volume of Work for the past 5 years (self attested). (Year-wise break-up showing number of Bills of Entry/Shipping Bills cleared should be given) as per Public Notice no. 35 dated 19.3.2002

3. Service Tax Returns for the past 3 years.

4. Attested copy of the membership certificate of the CHA Association for the year 2004-2005.

5. Name and residential address of the directors / partners / proprietor and each of the employees holding Custom passes along-with their kardex number and passport size photographs pasted against their names.

6. Original CHA licence alongwith a Xerox copy of the same.

The time limit specified for submission of documents for the purpose of renewal should be adhered to strictly failing which appropriate action will be taken under provisions of CHALR 2004.
