Sub:- Procedure to be followed for verification of DEPB Scrips Containing shipping bills pertaining to two or more ports – reg.
Attention of all Exporters, Importers, Custom House Agent’s and Trade is invited to the verification of DEPB Scrips in terms of para 4.19 which permits, “Common DEPB Licences” against exports made through one or more ports. The procedure laid down is being further revised by this Custom House in view of the changes made in the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009.
1. The licence holder in case if exports are effected through JNPT, Mumbai-Sea, ACC-Mumbai & CFS Mulund shall register the licence, at the port specified in the licence and thereafter all imports against the said licence shall be made only through that port or through any other port as per prescribed procedure of Release Advise.
2. Each Custom House within the Mumbai Custom House Zone I and II shall verify the shipping bill pertaining t their respective port. The verified amount shall be transferred to the port of registration as indicated in the licence by way of GRA. However, for issuing such GRA, there will not be any process of registration of a licence. The concerned AO/Superintendent dealing with such incoming GRA’s shall write to the port where it is issued to confirm its genuineness. Once the confirmation is received from the other ports or exports, the licence shall be registered at the port of registration for the entire DEPB credit amount specified in the licence.
1. In partial modification of Public Notice No. 6 dated 24.02.2005 all the sections of this Custom House and CFS Mulund will remain open on 12.03.2005 (which is second Saturday) in addition to all other Saturdays till 31.03.2005 (except on Public Holidays)
