Amendment to the Right to information (Regulation of Fee and Cost) Rules, 2005 – reg.
The attention of the citizens of India is drawn to the Public Notice No. 66/2005 dated 26.10.2005, issued regarding the prescribed fees to be paid along with the application under the Right to information Act, 2005 (RTI Act.) In this regard, Government of India Notification dated 17th May 2006, issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel & training, New Delhi, amending the Right to information (Regulation of Fee and Cost), 2005, is enclosed.

In view of the above referred notification, applicants requesting information under the Right to information Act, may the payment of fees either in the form of cash, Demand Draft , Banker’s cheque or by Indian Postal Order payable to ‘RBI A/c Commissioner of Customs (general), Mumbai.
