8.90 Personal carriage of gems & jewellery import parcels by an Indian Importer / Foreign National including all EOUs/EPZ/SEZ units and all firms DTA through the airports of Delhi, Mumbai, Calcutta and Chennai may be permitted . The procedure will be the same as for import of goods by airfreight except that the parcels shall be brought to the Customs by the Importer / Foreign National for examination and release. The clearance of imports under this scheme shall be as per the normal licensing system of chapter 8 of the Policy.
