Public Notice No. 21(RE-2000)/1997-2002 dated the 17th July, 2000

Export of Ephedrine and its Salts/ Pseudo-ephedrine and its Salts-Conditions thereof.

In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 4.11 of the Export & Import Policy, 1997-2002, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Schedule 2 Appendix 1 of the book titled “ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import Items 1997-2002.”

2. The entry against S.No. 2(viii) regarding export of Ephedrine/ Pseudo-ephedrine in the Schedule 2 Appendix 1 of the book titled “ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import Items 1997-2002” (incorporating amendments made upto 31st August, 1998) shall be amended to read as under :-

Sl. No.	ITEM	Exports allowed on the fulfilment of following conditions/production of documents.
2(viii)	Ephedrine and its Salts/Pseudo-ephedrine and its Salts	ii) No Objection Certificate from Narcotics Commissioner of India, Gwalior.

3. This issues in Public interest.
