PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 26/2008, DT. 03/06/2008

Whenever a ban/restriction is imposed on export of any product, export obligation period in respect of EPCG authorizations

In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in the Hand Book of Procedures, Vol.I (RE-2008):

1. The following paragraph stands added after paragraph 5.11.3 to read as paragraph 5.11.4, as under:

“Whenever a ban/restriction is imposed on export of any product, export obligation period in respect of EPCG authorizations already issued prior to imposition of ban/restriction of such export products, would stand automatically extended for a period equivalent to the duration of ban/restriction, without any composition fee and exporter would not be required to fulfill average E.O. as well, for the ban/restriction period”.
