Attention of members of trade is drawn to Public Notice No.14/(RE-03)2002-07 dated 25.06.2003 vide which clarificatory instructions for filing information in IEC returns was issued.

It has been noticed that some exporters/importers are filing the IEC returns manually and some are sending it by post to this office.

It may please be noted that the mandatory returns are required to be submitted on line by accessing the website at www.nic.in/eximpol . The required format is already available on the website and the importers/exporters may click the index "IEC (Trade Returns)" for filing the returns. The last date has already been extended up to 31.10.2003 vide above stated public notice.

It is, therefore, brought to the notice of the trade that they should file the trade returns only by accessing the website and should not send manual applications to this office either personally or by post.
