Seeks to increase the time limit for availing of the exemption under notification No. 22/2013-Central Excise dated 29th July, 2013 from the present 30 days to 90 days, as may be permitted by the Department of Pharmaceuticals

 

G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No.22/2013-Central Excise, dated the 29th July, 2013 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number G.S.R.513 (E), dated the 29th July, 2013, namely:-

In the said notification, in sub para (iii), for the words “thirty days” the words “ninety days” shall be substituted.
