Where export has been covered by a policy issued by ECGC, settlement of a claim by the Corporation does not absolve the exporter of the obligation to Exchange Control undertaken on the GR/PP form to realise proceeds of the export within prescribed period. In such cases, exporter should, in consultation with ECGC, take all necessary steps for realising the proceeds. Authorised dealers should also continue to hold the duplicate copies of GR/PP forms in their custody and initiate follow-up measures in the normal manner.
