Foreign Currency Account Abroad-FEMA 47/01 Effective from Gazette Publication Date

In the Notification No. FEMA 47/2001-RB dated 5th December, 2001 of the Reserve Bank of India, Exchange Control Department, Central Office, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide G.S.R. 5(E) dated 5th December, 2001.

(i) In Regulation 1, in clause (ii), for the words “They shall come into force with immediate effect”, the words “They shall come into force from the date of publication in the Gazette”, shall be substituted and read.

(ii) At the end of the Notification, the following shall be added :

“Foot-note : The Principal Regulations were published in the Official Gazette vide No. G.S.R. 393(E) dated 03-05-2000 in Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) and subsequently last amended vide No. G.S.R. 200(E) dated 27th February, 2001.”
