Amendments in the Cus. Ntf. No. 15/2002 (N.T.), Dt. 07/03/2002 (Jurisdictional Changes)G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No.15/2002-Customs (N.T.) published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide number G.S.R. 171(E) dated the 7th March, 2002, namely:-
2. In the said notification, in Table, against serial number 6, for the entry in column (2), the following entry shall be substituted, namely;--
“The whole of the –
(a) State of West Bengal, except the areas falling under the districts of Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Coochbehar and North Dinajpur;
(b) Union territory of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands; and
(c) districts of Purnea, Katihar, Sahabganj and Godda in the State of Bihar.”
3. This notification shall come into effect on and from the date to be notified by the Chief Commissioner of Customs, Kolkata.
