CBEC notifies Silambimangalam (Shipyard) in Tamilnadu as port for import/export goods
S.O. 190 (E)-In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No.62/94-Customs (N.T.), published in the Gazette of India vide number S.O. 829 (E) dated the 21st November, 1994, namely :-
In the said notification, in the TABLE, at serial number 10 relating to Tamilnadu, in Column (3) and (4), after item number 14 and the entries relating thereto in column (4) , the following item number and entries thereto shall be inserted, namely :-

Unloading of machinery and equipment or any class of such goods for the construction and maintenance of Silambimangalam Shipyard Port; Unloading of goods imported for manufacture and repair of cargo ships, barges and similar vessels and import of cargo ships, barges and similar vessels for repair.
Export of cargo ships, barges and similar vessels and export of machinery and equipments or any class of such goods imported for the construction and maintenance of Silambimangalam (Shipyard) Port. |
