CUSTOMS NOTIFICATION No. 21/2000(N.T.) Dated 16th March, 2000

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section (4) of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of finance(Department of Revenue), No. 27/97-Customs (N.T.), dated the 7th July, 1997, namely:-

In the table to the said notification, against the serial No.17, for the entries in the column (2), the following shall be substituted with effect from the 1st April, 2000, namely:-

"the whole of the areas in the districts of the Uttar Kannada, Dakshina, Kannada,Kodagu, Hassan, Chikmagalur, Shimoga, Belgaum, Bijapur, Udupi, Gadag, Dharwad, Koppal, Bellary, Raichur, Bagalkot, Gulbarga and Bidar, in the State of Karnataka including areas under Mangalore Port."
