Exchange Rate effective from 1st June, 2002 Relates to Imported Goods

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (i) of clause (a) of sub-section (3) of section 14 of Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) and in partial supercession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No.22/2002-NT-Customs, dated the 24th April, 2002 [S.O.460(E) dated the 24th April, 2002] in so far as the said notification relates to powers exercised under the provision of the said Customs Act, the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby determines for the purposes of section 14 of the said Customs Act, relating to imported goods, that the rate of exchange of conversion of each of the foreign currency specified in column (2) of Schedule I and Schedule II appended hereto into Indian currency or vice-versa shall, with effect from the 1st June, 2002 be the rate mentioned against it in the corresponding entry in column (3) thereof.
