Corrections in the duty drawback

In the Notification No.33/2002-Customs(N.T.) dated 29th May, 2002, published in in part-II, Section 3, Sub-section ( i ) of the Gazette of India (Extraordinary), vide G.S.R. 392(E), dated the 29th May, 2002, the Central Government hereby makes the following corrections therein, in the following manner:-

1. At pages 34, 35 and 36 in Chapter 42, the wordings ‘ All Leather goods ……..’ appearing in the description of the goods in Column 2 against Serial/Sub-serial Nos. 42.25,42.26,42.27,42.32 and 42.33 shall be read as ‘‘ All other Leather goods ……..’.

2. At pages 54, 55, 57 and 58 in Chapter 64, the wordings ‘…. imported under Notification No.21/2001-Cus dated 1st March, 2002….’, appearing in the description of the goods in Column 2 against Serial/Sub-serial Nos. 64.06, 64.10, 64.20, and 64.23 shall be read as ‘…. imported under Notification No.21/2002-Cus dated 1st March, 2002…’.

3. In Chapter 73, page 64, the drawback rate in column 3, against Serial/Sub-serial No.73.16 shall be read as ‘ Re. 0.15 (Paise fifteen only) per piece’ instead of ‘ Re. 0.15 (Paise fifteen only) per metre’.

4. In Chapter 73, page 66, the drawback rate in column 3, against Serial/Sub-serial No.73.30 shall be read as ‘ ….. per kg. of steel content’ instead of ‘… per kg’.

5. In Chapter 74, pages 66, 67, and 68, the drawback rates in column 3, against Serial/Sub-serial Nos. 74.02, 74.03, 74.13, and 74.14 shall be read as ‘ ……. per kg. of brass content’ instead of ‘ …… per kg.’

6. In Chapter 74, page 68, the drawback rate in column 3, against Serial/Sub-serial No. 74.15 shall be read as ‘ ……. per kg. of copper content’ instead of ‘ …… per kg. ’

7. In Chapter 74, page 68, the drawback rates in column 3, against Serial/Sub-serial Nos. 74.20 and 74.21 shall be read as ‘ ……. per kg. of brass content’ instead of ‘ …… per kg. ’

8. In Chapter 74, page 69, the drawback rates in column 3, against Serial/Sub-serial Nos. 74.27, 74.28 and 74.29 shall be read as ‘ ……. per kg. of copper content’ instead of ‘ …… per kg. ’

9. At page 70, in Chapter 75, the description of the goods in Column 2, against Serial/Sub-serial No. 75.01 shall be read as ‘ Articles of Nickel (covered by Customs Tariff Headings 75.05 to 75.08)’ instead of ‘ Articles of Nickel’.

10. At page 71, in Chapter 79, the description of the goods in Column 2, against Serial/Sub-serial No. 79.01 shall be read as ‘Articles of Zinc (covered by Customs Tariff Headings 79.04 to 79.07)’ instead of ‘ Articles of Zinc’.

11. At page 71, in Chapter 80, the description of the goods in Column 2, against Serial/Sub-serial No. 80.01 shall be read as ‘Articles of Tin (covered by Customs Tariff Headings 80.03 to 80.07)’ instead of ‘ Articles of Tin’.

12. At page 113, in Chapter 96, the description of the goods in Column 2, against Serial/Sub-serial No. 96.03 shall be read as ‘Fountain pens, ball point pens, fibre tip pens, colour pens, highlighter pens, sketch pens, roller ball pens , gel pens, marker pens, and mechanical pencils, all sorts, (including gift sets with or without box)’ instead of ‘Fountain pens, ball point pens, fibre tip pens, colour pens, highlighter pens, sketch pens, roller ball pens , gel pens, and mechanical pencils, all sorts, (including gift sets with or without box)’.
