Appointment of DG (Safeguard)
S.O. (E). – In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 3 of the Customs Tariff (Identification and Assessment of Safeguard Duty) Rules, 1997, and in supersession of notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Finance and Company Affairs (Department of Revenue) No. 72/2002-CUSTOMS (N.T.) issued vide G.S.R. No. 780(E), dated the 22nd November, 2002, the Central Government hereby appoints Shri Sri Krishna, Chief Commissioner, as the Director General (Safeguard) for the purposes of the said rules.
