Amendments in Schedule-I Imports policy (Chapter 44 & 54)

S.O. (E) - In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy-2004-09, the Central Government hereby amends Schedule-I (Imports) of the ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 2004-09 as under:

1. Import Policy for the item ‘Seamless Tubes / Pipes’ under 4 digit Exim Code “7304” will be amended to read as “Restricted” (instead of “Free”).

2. Import policy for the following Exim Codes will be amended to read as “Restricted” (instead of “Free”) :

“28030010 and 40112010”

3. For heading 4411, sub-headings 441111, items 44111110, 44111190, sub-heading 441119, items 44111910, 44111990, sub-heading 441121, items 44112110, 44112190, sub-heading 441129, items 44112910, 44112990, sub-heading 441131, item 44113110, 44113190, sub-heading 441139, items 44113910, 44113990, sub-heading 441191, items 44119110 to 44119190, sub-heading 441199, items 44119910 to 44119990 and the entries relating thereto, the following heading, sub-headings, items and entries shall be substituted namely:-
