Amendments in Chapter 25, under Schedule 2 of ITC (HS) Classification of Export and Import (2523)

S.O. (E) In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with Para 1.3 and Para 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009, the Central Government hereby makes, with immediate effect, the following amendments to the Notifications No.4 (RE-2008)/2004-09 dated 11th April, 2008 read with Notification No.5 dated 15th April, 2008:

2. The entry at Sl. No. 72A, Chapter 25, under Schedule 2 of ITC (HS) Classification of Export and Import Items stands amended as follows:-

(i) However, this restriction shall not apply to supplies of Cement from Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) to units in Special Economic Zone (SEZ) or SEZ Developers/Co-Developers for use within the SEZ only. (ii) The existing ban on export of cement and cement clinker shall not be applicable to export to Nepal.
