Amendment in Schedule-2 (Export Policy) of the ITC(HS) Classifications (Chapter 25 - export to Maldives)

S.O.(E) In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy-2004-09, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby amends Schedule-2 (Export Policy) of the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 2004-09 :-

In Chapter 25, the following shall be added after export licensing Note (c) regarding export to Maldives :-

(d) For the financial year 2007-08 (on annual basis)
    Stone Aggregate : 4,05,000 MT
    [OLD- Stone Aggregate : 2,70,000 MTs]
    River Sand         : 4,50,000 MTs

[OLD- River Sand : 3,00,000 MTs]

(The quantity of River Sand at (d) has been substituted vide NTF. NO. 18/2007, DT. 07/08/2007 - For the export of above quantity of River Sand, Chemicals and Allied Products Export Promotion Council (CAPEXIL) shall ensure that the suppliers/extractors have obtained appropriate clearances and the mining of the said sand is not undertaken in the Coastal Regulation Zone Area, which is prohibited under the Coastal Regulation Zone Notification.)

(The quantity of Stone Aggregate at (d) has been substituted vide NTF. NO. 05/2007, DT. 18/05/2007)
